Appendix B: Case Files

Appendix B is the trilogy’s case-files appendix — a curated set of fact patterns and supporting materials students can use as the factual record for graded pretrial exercises (drafting complaints and answers, propounding and responding to discovery, briefing motions, and conducting mock depositions). The appendix is designed to be modular: a single pattern can support an entire semester of pretrial-litigation work, or individual files can anchor discrete units. As classroom infrastructure rather than doctrinal content, it gives professors a ready-made factual-baseline option that lets them focus class time on craft and judgment rather than fact-pattern construction. Most useful in any pretrial litigation, clinical, or simulation-heavy advocacy course.
